A description of Rowlands International's environmental, equal opportunities, ethical and social policies

Rowlands International operates across numerous international markets and a diverse range of cultures with regulations pertaining to the staffing industry varying widely from country to country. The Group believes that its decentralized management structure enables it to operate in such a way that best respects local customs and conforms to all appropriate legislation.

Rowlands International's employees are a diverse, multi-cultural organisation of people from whose collective talents, we believe; the Group derives a competitive advantage. Rowlands International encourages all members of staff to be good corporate citizens and to strive to become economic, intellectual and social assets to their local communities. Our personnel are obliged to act according to a code of conduct that stresses the values and ethics we stand for.

Companies within the Group are encouraged to adopt socially responsible business policies and practices that equally balance the interests of investors, customers, employees, suppliers, business partners and local communities.

Rowlands International is a provider of services rather than products however; during the conduct of its operations the Group does make use of a range of natural and man-made resources. Rowlands International appreciates the environmental benefits of reducing the consumption of these resources and encourages its Companies to seek alternative options and make use of recycling initiatives wherever they may be practical.

Rowlands International provides a service designed to improve the efficiency of the labour market. By means of its activity, the Group enables people to find a job, to improve their skills and to benefit from flexible labour opportunities in order to better balance their work/life priorities. Our services bring significant benefit to people who are changing jobs or who have difficulties in finding a job. We review working conditions and safety at work before seconding any worker to a client.

Rowlands International undertakes charitable sponsorship initiatives that it believes best reflect, and benefit from, its expertise in the recruitment sector. Sponsorship is given at corporate, company and office level.

Companies within the Group are encouraged to join, and take an active role in,
relevant national trade and professional associations. Membership of these associations is instrumental in the development of good operating practices within their country of operation.

Rowlands International is a firm supporter of equal opportunities for its own staff as well as for the personnel it supplies to clients. The Group believes that, in the employment market, it is not in anyone's interest to discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, disability, religion, and sexuality or union membership.
